Abstract:

How to profoundly change the beliefs of the polytheists during the age of revelation from the denial of the Prophet (pbuh) to the certainty of his Message and the acceptance of his full guardianship is a question worthy of attention. The order of verses about prophecy based on the order of revelation is the reason to lead a transformative process and a special Quranic method in institutionalizing the belief of prophecy in the lives of Arabs. In the first stage, the Holy Quran in the first Makkī (Arabic: المکّیّ, suras revealed in Mecca) chapters has prepared the community from the motivational side to accept the truth of the Prophet’s (pbuh) prophecy and briefly stating the key issues surrounding it. The Holy Book of Quran at the time of the emergence of oppositions and doubts (the second stage) destroyed the arguments of the polytheists and explained the prophecy and proved its authenticity from a cognitive perspective in the second stage by presenting clear arguments. and the Holy Book of Quran in the third stage after Madanī (Arabic: المدنیّ, suras revealed in Medina) period has undertaken measures in order to fulfill the goals of the Massage by explaining the true position of the Prophet (pbuh) to deepen and operationalize the Prophetic belief through explaining practical duties for the Prophet (pbuh) and behavior based on the acceptance of Walaya (Arabic: ولایة, meaning “guardianship” or “governance”).

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Surgical treatment of some renal neoplasia is partial nephrectomy; but in some cases subsequent injuries lead to complete nephrectomy. Cryogenic surgery as a minimally invasive procedure can be helpful in avoiding complete nephrectomy. The aim of the study is determination of the effect of cryosurgery on macroscopic and microscopic injury and healing of kidney tissue, along with determination of the speed and quality of healing compared with other current procedures. Materials and methods: Cryogenic Partial nephrectomy was performed on posterior pole of left kidney of 6 male Dutch rabbit using contacting probe. After 1, 6 and 24 hours, and after 3, 7 and 14 days nephrectomy was done via laparatomy. After recording macroscopic properties of kidneys, they were processed for histopathologic studies. Results: The freezed area in 1 to 24 hours’ samples showed filling of renal tubes by RBCs, hemorrhage in glumerols, fibrinous deposition in capillaries and some interlobular venuls and arteries, along with initiation of cell necrosis. On 3, 7, 14 day samples, injured and non injured areas were separated by a transitional zone. Gradually, necrotic tissues were reabsorbed which resulted in involution of injured area that makes kidney smaller in size. Conclusion: It seems that cryosurgery is effective in healing. Cryogenic partial nephrectomy can be done easily and causes only limited injury during operation. This study showed that contacting probe has less invasive effect than needle probes and its healing process is faster and works through reabsorbtion of necrotic tissue.

Abstract:

Background: Wound healing is a complex process and a worldwide challenge. Some studies have suggested light cure as a modality to accelerate wound repair. It could induce fibroblast proliferation, increase collagen synthesis and activate cellular processes involved in expression of procollagen type I and III mRNA. This study was designed to assess macroscopic effect of halogen dental curing blue light on a full thickness open wound healing in NMRI mices. Methods: 40 male NMRI rats were divided into the control and treatment groups. Full thickness wound with 6 mm diameter was induced on the lower back of all mice under general anesthesia and sterile conditions. All mice of the treatment group were exposed daily to a halogen dental curing blue light with a wavelength of 420-500 nm, for 7 days. The diameter of the wound was measured in both treatment and control groups every 2 days up to day 14.Findings: There was a significant difference in wound diameter between control and treatment group at all measurements after day 3 (P£ 0.05).Conclusion: Previous studies have shown the efficacy of low level laser in wound healing, pain relief, increasing local blood supply, decreasing inflammation and bactericidal effect. The results of this study suggest improvement of full thickness wound healing by daily irradiation of halogen dental curing blue light with a wavelength 420-500 nm for 7 days.

Abstract:

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Wound healing, care promotion, appropriate treatment and infection and chronicity prevention have all been occupied the human mind. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of Teucrium polium honey on the burn wound healing process in rat.METHODS: The present experimental study accomplished on 28 rats (weight 200-250 g). Animals were divided into two control and Teucrium polium honey groups. In each group, 6 rats used for wound healing assessment and 8 for histopathological test. Burn wound was created by hot metal, 1×1 cm2, on the back. Gentamycin (5 mg/kg ip) was injected in two groups. In case group, Teucrium polium honey (1 g/day) was applied on wounds twice a day until complete healing was obtained. Evaluation was made through measuring the area of the healed region and tensiometery experiments.FINDINGS: The percentage of wound healing on days 12 and 18 in control group of burn wounds changed in the treated group from 30.2% and 61.4% to 39% and 78% (p<0.05), respectively. Stress (maximum tensile force causing skin rupture) changed from 5.3±0.64 Newton in the control group of burn wounds to 6.6±0.65 Newton in treated group with no significant difference. Strain (tissue length under maximum strain) changed from 13.6±1.2 mm in the control burn wound group to 18±2.1 mm (p<0.05) in the treated group. In point of view of histopathology examinations, healing process was better achieved in the treated group with more oriented matrix arrangement and less inflammatory reaction than control group.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that Teucrium polium honey may have accelerated the burn wound healing in rats.

Abstract:

THERAPEUTIC BENEFITS OF PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY IN TREATMENT OF WOUNDS HAVE BEEN REPORTED SINCE 1960S.HOWEVER, MANY OF THE RELEVANT RESULTS DESCRIBED INCONSISTENCY, MAINLY DUE TO METHODOLOGY BIAS OR LACK OF STANDARD METHOD IN DIFFERENT STUDIES. BEYOND, THE APPLICATION OF SOME OF THE LIGHT SOURCES AS A THERAPEUTIC MODALITY IS STILL CONTROVERSIAL, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO APPLY THE MODALITY IN INITIAL STAGES OF TISSUE REPAIR.CLINICAL PRACTICE WITH PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY, ESPECIALLY LOW OR HIGH LEVEL LASER THERAPIES, HELPS THE RESEARCHERS TO IDENTIFY BENEFITS OF THESE MODERN CARE STRATEGIES. HOWEVER, THE QUESTIONS ON BIOLOGICAL CAUSES AND MECHANISMS ARE STILL ARISING. THE INITIAL EFFECTS OF LASER BIOSTIMULATION ON AN INJURED TISSUE CAUSE TO RELEASE SOME PREFORMING SUBSTANCES SUCH AS HISTAMINE, SEROTONIN, BRADYKININ. SIMULTANEOUSLY, LASER APPLICATION MAY MODIFY NORMAL ENZYMATIC REACTIONS, ACCELERATE OR DELAY SOME OF THE BIOLOGICAL CHAINS AND PROMOTE ATP PRODUCTION. INFLAMMATION, AS THE FIRST STAGE OF REPAIR, IS ESSENTIAL TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE ORGANISM AND INVOLVES A HOMODYNAMIC INTERACTION BETWEEN INFLAMMATORY AND VASCULAR CELLS. LASER APPLICATION HAS SHOWN TO BE AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ALTERNATIVE WITH SIMILAR EFFECTS WITH THE NSAIDS LEAD TO INHIBIT PGE 2, COX AND HISTAMINE. AS A RESULT, LASER APPLICATION SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO MODULATE INFLAMMATION FOR DIFFERENT TISSUES. THIS PRESENTATION AIMS TO EXPLAIN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECTS OF LOW AND HIGH LEVEL LASERS AND PROVIDE SOME CLINICAL EXAMPLES THAT DEMONSTRATE TISSUE HEALING PROCESS IN INITIAL PHASES UNDER PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY.
